Let’s get Started!
United Nations Uses Crypto
Carrying cash is risky for displaced people worldwide since it can be misplaced or stolen.
To avoid this, the UN Refugee Agency has turned to cryptocurrency.
Using USDC, relief is being distributed to internally displaced Ukrainians and others harmed by Russia's invasion.
Traveling across borders or over long distances with crypto funds on a cell phone eliminates the need to worry about converting cash to other cash.
This is a great initiative that will showcase the positive and impactful uses of crypto.
Is it time for Binance?
Binance experienced withdrawals of $3B+ in a week,
The cause?
People are concerned over Binance’s Proof of Reserves and Auditing
So, in November, Binance issued an audit report in an attempt to calm some tensions. Some people, though, were not convinced. This is why...
Binance did not retain one of the four major audit firms. It instead chose... Mazars (who are they?)
CZ told CNBC that this is because of the big fours' inability to audit crypto exchanges.
And the business collaborated with Binance on an agreed-upon procedure, or AUP, which...does not constitute a comprehensive audit or a stamp of approval that everything is in order.
A former 18-year SEC regulator dubbed the whole incident a "red flag."
Oh, and Mazars, the French auditor? It announced today that it is suspending all crypto services. The link to its evaluation of Binance's reserves has been removed.
Coinbase Launches Asset Recovery Tool
Coinbase, the world's second-largest cryptocurrency exchange, has developed a new recovery tool.
The tool will assist its users with recovering over 4,000 unsupported ERC-20 tokens transferred to its ledger.
To recover funds, customers must provide their Ethereum transaction identification for the lost assets and the contract address of the lost asset.
Do you have any funds to recover? Let me know in the comments!
