I have a few questions for you, please don’t be offended!
Have you ever blocked someone on LinkedIn after reading their message and checking out their profile?😆
Or better yet: have you ever been the one who gets blocked after approaching someone?😅
or maybe you have been applying for jobs on LinkedIn and still not getting a response?
Different sad stories but 1 reason!
Dude, it is simply because your profile “A-SUC”
So, I am here to take your Profile from “suc” to “successful” profiles on LinkedIn.
Like I said before, don’t judge a book by its cover is a plain lie!
So, I will share 3 ways in which you can improve the look of your profile, guaranteeing that the visitor would scroll down!
The first thing they see is your Profile Picture!
1. Let’s optimize your Profile Picture
Be honest and admit to yourself.
Have you put up a profile picture
from your cousin’s reception,
wearing chamkeele kapre and makeup,
with a Gen Z generic side pose,
with excessive amount of jewelry in a dim lighted room,
and you are hoping to close a job on LinkedIn?
Then, all I have to say is
Please don’t do this to yourself, have mercy on your future!
If you are serious about utilizing your LinkedIn properly, then keep reading!
Step 1: Here’s what you are going to do.
You are going to go take a shower
Wear a plain light colored shirt (try to avoid patterned or printed shirts!)
Boys! Coat up and gel on. You can choose to skip the tie.
Girls! Wear your best hair, put on the lightest makeup (please no extra wavy/graphic eyeliner), and wear minimalistic jewelry (nothing that hangs overly).
Then, open the curtains of your room or anywhere at your home, where you have access to natural sunlight.
Ask a friend, family member or use a tripod to take your professional photos
And start capturing your gorgeous pictures!
That’s right! Ain’t no one from Inspired Analyst’s family using old pictures, they are having a proper professional shoot for themselves.
5 Make sure(s) you are:
Smiling (Yes, you better show off those teeth because this is your personal profile, not a resume. Do you, be you, and smile!)
Looking directly into the camera
The background is clear and not dark
The picture is not blurred
It does not look like a selfie.
What to do next?
Step 2: Go to remove.bg and follow this…
Once you have downloaded…
Step 3: Go to canva and search “LinkedIn Profile Picture”
Click on any template of choice and upload the “removed background image”
You can choose to simply add your image in to those templatesOr personalize it to your liking
Here’s what I would do: (Please wait for the tutorial to load)
Step 3: Play with graphics on Canva
PS. this is Canva Pro with a background remover feature. Free Canva does not have this feature. If you have Canva Pro, I would still suggest using Remove.bg for clearer pixels.
And Voila! You are done with the profile picture.
Oopsiee! I am crossing my fingers….
Step 4: Now, you need to go to Photofeeler.com
Login with your LinkedIn Account or sign up
Upload your finalized picture.
Select the purpose of your picture
Write down your Skills and area of expertise
And wait for results…
Here is a little glimpse of results..
To sum up, you created a perfect profile picture in 4 steps:
Get a professional photoshoot done
Remove the background from remove.bg
Play around with graphics on Canva
Test your picture on Photofeeler.com
Now let’s move on to the next graphics on LinkedIn that will change your LinkedIn Game!
2. How to setup the LinkedIn Banner?
First of all, if you think this is okay…
Then, you’re in luck.
Because this email is a part of a LinkedIn series and you will be all caught up!
Profile Picture and the LinkedIn banner are the first things that a visitor sees when they open your profile. It reveals your true personality, your aesthetic, and
So, here’s a template for you..
Go to Canva.com and search “LinkedIn Banner”
Select any template and customize it as per your title
I personally prefer, switching to an empty page, and doing my own magin
Specify your Title (Mine: Email Marketing Specialist & Copywriter)
You may also search for a quote that goes with your job title, highlighting what you offer.
Make the design as minimalistic as possible.
You can add your contact details to look more approachable, allowing recruiters to reach out to you more easily.
You can even tell what value you will provide your clients or your point of differentiation. (For example: I help companies devise their marketing strategies and lock their prospects in real-time.)
3. Make your URL Simpler!
Okay help me choose the best of the two:
https://www.linkedin.com/in/adnan76892pp1
https://www.linkedin.com/in/inspiredanalyst
I am assuming you voted 2 right? Because duh…
It is so much more simpler and not too wordy!
Why to customize URL?
So, in case a researcher is “googling” your job roles, he/she would be able to see your LinkedIn page on google with the searched job role. It basically makes it easy for navigators to spot you!
Recruiters:
Let me help you achieve that…
If you are on your laptop,
look at the top right of LinkedIn Profile Home Page.
You should be able to spot this and follow these 2 steps:
After you have clicked on the pencil, you should see this:
Now you can personalize your URL as per your job role, be it Digital Marketer, Content Writer, Financial Analyst, Chartered Accountant, etc.
Then, click Save.
If you are on your Phone,
Go to your Profile Home Page
Click on the pencil adjacent to your Profile Picture
Scroll down
Under Contact Info, click on Edit Contact info
At the top you should see your Profile URL, click the hyperlinked URL
Under Edit your customer URL, click on Pencil again
It will highlight the rectangular box, where you should be able to edit the end of your URL
Then, click Save.
So, this comprehensive email must have helped you at least setup the face of your LinkedIn Profile.

It shares the mechanics of Chatgpt, how it was trained, and the funny little negatives of using Chatgpt that will disclose that it will be long before Chatgpt can replace us!
This video is a week long effort:
1-2 days in writing script
1 day in shooting
